Review- The rise of sivagami

I am not a big fan of Bahubali but i was intrigued by the concept of turning movie to novel. PLOT The plot does nt throw anything spectacular at us as we are more or less expecting the court or family intrigues. There could have been something more interesting than concept of gauridhool which is some metallurgical volcanic chemical increasing the potency of weapons. Charactarisation It is always interesting to witness inner turmoil of characters but as in case of ASURA i find anand throws too much of a confusion in hearts of charactars to my liking. Katappa who for all practical purposes somewhat bores and irritates with his almost divine -sense of dedication towards his masters. Language- I feel indian writers should choose their scope while choosing the words. For example indian words like lota,yamam,gauridhool etc. are used but he also uses words like nincompoops and an odd american idiom too. My point is that any period novel may be use indian,british,american english but not a irrational combination of all Ultimately reader should laugh and cry with characters but this doesnt happen here.
